Arthritis is one of the leading cause of work disability in the United States. Annually it cost more than $3 billion on treatment.


Lets first discuss what is Arthritis


It is a condition that can cause painful joint swelling and it reduces range of motions in your joints. Symptoms get worse as it progress by time. It commonly affects hands, hips, spine and knees. 

It has 2 most common types which are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Unfortunately arthritis may cause chronic pain which can last lifetime. 


Now lets talk about methods to prevent arthritis. 

1. Healthy Diet 



Balanced diet can reduce multiple health regarded risks such as cardio, blood pressure diabetes and many others. 

Eating healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids reduce inflammation in the affected parts. Salmon trout includes these healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids. Walnuts and fish oil also contain polyunsaturated fatty acids. 

2. Exercise 




Daily physical exercise has very big impact on our health as we grow old. 

It keeps our muscles, joints strong. Like as we know arthritis mostly affect hips and knees joint so for that swimming and just walking are considered as best exercises. 

But any other exercises are also beneficial for arthritis. We should daily exercise 30 minutes 5 times a week. 

3. Weight Loss 



Arthritis is much more common in overweight and obese people because weight gain puts extra pressure on person's joints.

Losing 10% to 20% weight can result in good quality of life and decreased pain.
